Founded by a researcher with international exposure, Josy Consults is a research and consultancy firm based in the heart of Kampala, Uganda, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The company is comprised of professionals who know the Why, Who, How and When of market and social research in Sub-Saharan Africa.

John is a seasoned researcher with over 18 years of experience in the market research industry. Having worked with one of the world’s leading global research firms in both Tanzania and Uganda, he has become an expert in operations and project management. His extensive training in these areas, including formal sessions in South Africa and Kenya, has been complemented by hands-on experience and continuous professional development, making him a pivotal figure in the successful execution of numerous research initiatives.
John’s career is distinguished by his extensive travel and work across Sub-Saharan Africa, managing and executing projects in countries like Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Eswatini, Lesotho, Zambia, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. This broad geographical experience has given him a deep understanding of diverse market dynamics and cultural nuances, enabling him to deliver actionable research findings tailored to each region’s unique context. His ability to navigate complex project environments, combined with a strategic approach to operations, has consistently driven successful outcomes for his clients, earning him a high level of respect in the industry.
Abel is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in research, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), and project management. He has served as a Researcher/Consultant for various NGOs, multinational companies, and research and consulting firms. With extensive expertise in social science, development, and market research, Abel is highly skilled in the non-profit and development initiative sectors, particularly in Ethiopia. His industry knowledge spans social sectors, marketing, micro and small enterprises (MSEs), and consumer goods. Additionally, he possesses specialized expertise in market research, competitive market analysis, opportunity identification, team building, and leadership.
Abel is currently pursuing an MBA with a focus on Project Management and holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Adama University, Ethiopia. He is a proud Ethiopian national residing in Addis Ababa.

Tamrinah possesses in-depth knowledge of Tanzania’s market dynamics and topography, making her well-equipped to navigate diverse project landscapes.
